Wrong workfile opened after downloading with sitesync

Hi!
We are experiencing something weird when using sitesync.

We do this:

  1. publish workfile v10
  2. Launch task on computer that has not opened that task before
  3. Sitesync downloads the workfile and copies it to the workfile folder
  4. empty workfile is opened.

If we close and launch again, the correct workfile is opened.

We have tested this with maya on MacOS and Windows and same thing is happening. Another artist mentioned something similar in Houdini.

Is this something wrong with our setup / settings, or this normal behaviour?

Is the open working file named Untitled or something..._v001?

it’s opening untitled. it looks like it tries to open v01 of the workfile, but that does not exist.

Seems like the “AYON_LAST_WORKFILE” env variable is not updated by sitesync after it copies the file

As long as it opens untitled, then it has just skipped opening the last version,
then the question may be why didn’t it see the last existing version.

I guess this also relates to the core addon. so, could you share the sitesync and core addon versions on your side?

We are using sitesync 1.2.3 and core 1.3.0
