SSO / Active Directory integration

It’s actually been on the pricing page the whole time. In the pricing table.

It will be released as a commercial paid feature, consisting of multiple addons.

  1. Native SSO addon - currently supporting google and discord, but will be expanded based on the demand
  2. Keycloak addon - for those with a lot more complex needs. We’re able to sync users and roles from keycloak to AYON

It will be a single package that gives you all the SSO options we provide now and in the future rather than per addon cost.

We’re still working on connecting ynput.cloud users to AYON which would then be a third way. The addon’s code will also be available to those that buy a license, with possibility of local extension or tweaks

€5 / month / user ? I think if that’s the price we might probably investigate on doing it ourselves… I might be missing some context but even the SSO providers are cheaper than that?

@fabiaserra Did you ever get a response to this or make any progress? We’re looking to set something up for ourselves too.

@adam.carroll I ended up providing a sync of users from SG/Flow to AYON that sets a default password that artists can then change from the AYON server… so no SSO but it’s something

For reference, In kitsu addon there’s a similar feature that syncs all the users.
but, I’m not sure if it creates them with the same passwords they have kitsu.

They don’t sync with the same password as it’s impossible to fetch them. They hare encrypted so…
Currently everyone gets a default password and would need to change it when they login. Not the safest way but the only way I could find. Best would be to be able to force the user to change the password the first time they login with a password assigned by an admin.

Having some SSO/AD’s in Ayon would be great! Kitsu supports AD so it would make it possible to use AD everywhere.

Just a note that SSO (Google, Generic oAuth2.0 + AD, LDAP and others via Keycloak) is now part of the AYON cloud subscriptions and can be also purchased as an addon for on-prem AYON installations.
