Renaming Built-in Attribute

Hello AYON users and developers,

I want to start the discussion on whether built-in attribute in AYON can be renamed or map to something else.

My situation is a classic case of snake_case vs camelCase. Our studio is currently using frame_start in ftrack and AYON is using frameStart which might lead to some confusion in the future.

I think it is nice to have the ability to rename or disable built-in attribute to handle some level of variation in naming convention and avoid duplicating existing attribute.

Please let me what your throughs are.

No - some are required to be that way. I do believe someone somewhere had some ‘custom mapping’ from AYON attributes to Ftrack or whatever but I don’t believe it’s officially supported anywhere.

Yeah, totally agreed. some of these attributes are hardcoded over the pipeline.
