Hello everyone! We recently added a new machine to our studio setup and connected it to the Ayon system. For some reason, publishing from Nuke doesn’t work on this particular computer, while everything works fine on all the others.
I’m having trouble figuring out what’s causing the issue—any ideas?
I think this issue is beyond AYON as it’s an OS error.
Out of curiosty are you able to open the publish location in file explorer?
Sometimes long paths can result in issues.
Well, it may be an implementation issue on speedcopy
that we’re providing with AYON - however, it hasn’t come up before and AYON runs on a big variety of hardware and specs out there in the wild so it may be specific to this situation.
In this case:
- Windows has a path character limit. Make sure the path for
src
ordst
on publishing isn’t too long - e.g. under 255 characters (in some cases it may be even less) - You have the correct permissions to write to
dst
The logs should state what file it’s trying to copy from where to where. It’d be good to provide that info, or even better… share the full publish report JSON file.
After reinstalling Windows, AYON started working correctly.
