Maya 2024.2 crashing in AYON context when Arnold 5.3.5.3 loads

Hi everyone,

I’m encountering a crash when launching Autodesk Maya 2024.2 through the AYON context. Maya starts normally, but it crashes as soon as the Arnold for Maya plugin (version 5.3.5.3) is enabled during startup.

If I open Maya outside of the AYON context, it seems to behave normally, but within the AYON-launched environment the crash happens consistently when Arnold loads.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue with Maya 2024.2 and Arnold 5.3.5.3 when launched through AYON? Any suggestions on what might be causing this or how to debug it would be really helpful.

Sharing Maya’s crash dump or log may help - otherwise this will be very hard to pinpoint.

It’s likely a dependency compatibility issue, but I’ve never seen or heard it with Maya/Arnold, no.
