Houdini USD Render + Husk

Hi,

We are rendering with Houdini + Karma USD therefore using Husk to render the USD files.

I just tested the USD Render publish in Houdini with Farm Rendering - Split export & render jobs but I have the following issues:

  • We don’t have a lot of Houdini licences so the best way would be to export the USD from Houdini on the same machine as the user publishing it since the first job is using a proper Houdini licence.

Is it possible to customize the job properties (here Allow list) for only the first job?

  • The Husk job has a chunk of 999 to render the USD when a single file is exported but what I would like to do is to split the Husk render into chunks but do a single USD export. It’s totally possible to export a single huge USD file for the whole framerange but render the it with Husk with chunks. (maybe it increase the load time thought)

If someone have any ideas for this!

Thanks
