Hi all,
I’m trying to affect the colourspace of the review mov/mp4 thats made and uploaded to ftrack during the render publish stage from nuke.
I’m using colour management with the default aces1.2 config (but also tried without). From what I understand in the docs, the “file rules” are what effects the colourspace of these reviewables but it doesnt seem to matter what I do, nothing changes.
Our EXRs are rendered in acescg but for the MOV/Mp4 we would need to read those in as rec709 and render in sRGB for the colourspace to be visually correct.
I’ve tried playing with the colour settings in: ayon+settings://nuke/publish/ExtractReviewIntermediates
I’ve also attempted adding the {colorspace} token to my render file names as I read somewhere that it can read that and know what colorspace to use. Ayon didnt like that actually, so that didnt work.
I’ve noticed when the reviewable is being made in ftrack during the publish the write node that pops up tends to always be set to (RAW), which kinda makes sense with what I’m seeing.
Anyway, I’m 43 test publishes in and havent seen a single change to the colourspace no matter what settings I’m changing in the project settings.
Am I missing something obvious? Is this just not supported yet?
Thanks for any tips or insight, currently losing a lot of time on this during production so would be good to fix today otherwise we will go with a manual solution.
