Has anyone implemented Site Sync in Ayon between two completely offline sites running on separate containers? What’s the best approach to sync data between them without internet access?
Could you elaborate about the usecase?
I wonder if it’s for making automated backups.

We’re a distributed team of freelancers working on VFX projects across multiple locations, covering asset creation and all 2D departments.
We operate from two main sites:
- Location A (Primary): Compositing, DMP, and Matchmove
- Location B: Roto, Prep, and Compositing
Our goal is to maintain real-time data synchronization between both locations. When plates or assets are published from Location A, they should automatically sync to Location B. Likewise, roto/prep outputs and comp work from Location B should seamlessly sync back to Location A.
We have Docker set up at both locations and are looking for an efficient solution for reliable, bi-directional syncing of production data.
