Hi guys,
Currently, when I add a Task template or create a new task to a shot or Assets in Shotgrid, Ayon creates folders in the drive.
However, there are many folders which are not required but their tasks are used for tracking in Shotgrid. Also, these folders do not get deleted even if the task is deleted in Shotgrid.
for example, when I create SG milestone tasks to track my shots , Ayon also creates folders which are not required.
I would like to know if there is a way to avoid creating too many folders linked with SG task.
So the ask is to somehow filter task which should be synced to AYON? Thats not implemented, please create issue GitHub - ynput/ayon-shotgrid: A Shotgrid Addon for the Ayon server. with your use case.
I cannot promise if/when it will be implemented though if there wouldn’t be any push for it from our clients.
I am not sure how to filter the tasks though. Maybe have new additional custom field on all SG items with Do not sync to AYON ?
