Whether there’s any trivial way to implement “revert to project defaults” or whatever for a particular field I’m not sure but that would make it easy, e.g. select multiple asset “Copy” a field value from one to the others or “Revert to Project Default” could make this easier to fix maybe?
Yes right, it’s not inherited because asset/prop is empty 
, after setting tools in the asset and prop folders from ayon project manager, the child automatically inherits from the parent or the nearest parent like you stated.
For now triggering tools env from the nearest parent and copy multiple on ayon project manager is best choice i think, because its not work and not sync from ftrack info tab somehow
